Nix the frustration and procrastination and become a content whiz.

(Because bad photos don't sell!)

"This course made a huge impact on my business. I was struggling to photograph my jewelry and had long delays waiting for professional photographers to photograph my work.

I tried various lights and light boxes and could not get the results I was looking for.

After class with Raquel, I was able to easily photograph my jewelry with great results.

I didn't have to buy any special equipment or software, and I used the camera on my iPhone.

This course was one of the best investments I have made in my business. It has saved me countless hours and dollars."

Does this sound like you?

(Check all that apply!)

  • Your camera roll is full of photos, but they need a little zhuzhing up.

  • You know that consistency is key in marketing your business, and want to go all-in on your content marketing strategy with Instagram, Pinterest, blogs, lead magnets, and email. (Or at least one, if you could just get consistent with one, by God!)

  • When you try to post content, you spend way too long scouring your camera roll for something that’ll do before you go searching for a free stock photo you haven’t already seen a hundred times.

  • Even if you have brand photos, you always need more between shoots for everything that comes up, like product launches, special events, sharing behind-the-scenes, content teasers, and the list goes on.

  • You know others are shooting killer content on their phones, but you can’t seem to figure out the secret to making them look elegant instead of embarrassing.

  • When you do whip out your phone for a little impromptu shoot, your photos don’t look anything like what you pictured, and worse, you have no idea why, so how on earth can you fix them?

Are we on to something?

Perhaps you encounter some of these painful sensations during your quest for the picturesque:

  • You get discouraged shooting with your iPhone because you’re confused by all the modes and features. Isn’t all this technology supposed to make things easier?

  • You’re out and about only to realize you forgot to post on Instagram (again), and dammit, now you’ll have to dig something up on your computer when you get home.

  • It seems like presets could help you if you knew how to pick the right one.

  • You’ve purchased presets that promise one-click editing to make you look like an influencer, but instead of rosy and ethereal or film noir, they make your images look funky as all get-out.

  • You elbow your way around an editing app in hopes of salvaging a shot or two but end up wanting to throw your phone into the nearest ocean.

  • You have major content envy when you’re scrolling Instagramdoes everyone have a photographer on staff or what?

  • You shoot with a DSLR, but you’re tethered to your computer to edit shoots and wish you had a quicker way to share images.

  • You’re part of a lean ‘n’ mean marketing team, and your boss wants you to create more content with more or less the same resources.

  • The pressure to churn out content has you chowing CBD gummies like Cameron Diaz downing Pepcid in The Holiday.

  • You think your photos will be better once you have a “nice” camera.

Here’s the thing–you don’t need a photographer on staff, a fancy camera, or a mega-computer to make fine-lookin’ photos you’re ready to flaunt.

All you need is to learn how to think like a photographer and your phone. It’s easier than you think.

Introducing:

Your Image

Learn to shoot and edit like a pro with only the tech in your pocket.

Because it’s all about working with what you’ve got right now, and my guess is, my friend, that you’ve got a phone and, with a bit of help, you can turn your camera roll into a content treasure trove.

Keeping momentum as a business owner and marketer has everything to do with capacity. You can’t always hire a photographer, but you always need image content.

Running a business online means showing up and sharing photos that don’t look amateur.

And you don’t have the time or budget to purchase out-of-your-league photo equipment or constantly produce brand shoots on top of everything else you already struggle to get done.

Hey, I’m all for hiring a photographer (ahem-I’m here when you’re ready), but it’s not always in the cards.

Have you heard the photo lover’s proverb, “The best camera is the one you have with you?” It’s true! I’ll show you how to make it work and turn your frustration into flipping FUN.

In this positively addictive photo course, you’ll learn how to:

  • Know when to shoot with your phone and when to leave it to the pros. Cheers to knowing your limit and staying within it!

  • Think like a photographer. Learn what every photographer looks at before they even click the shutter—checklist included.

  • Work with the three things more important than your camera. Your trifecta for gorgeous photos.

  • Become besties with the light. Lighting will no longer be an enigma with this guide on types of light and common lighting mistakes you’re most likely making. (It’s cool, that’s why we’re here!)

  • Master your iPhone camera settings. Including dos, don’ts, and you-didn’t-even-know-abouts.

  • Fix problems before they’re a problem. And why you’re doomed if you fix these after you shoot.

  • Get the look. From bright and airy to dark and moody, learn the key principles that make a look.

  • Create your signature style. By making a few core decisions and thinking ahead.

  • Recognize what makes a photo look like it could be in a magazine. And the telltale signs of a photo neophyte.

  • Choose and create the best presets for you. Once you know the truth about presets, the real fun begins!

  • Turn your iPhone photos into bona fide content. Or how to be a step ahead and avoid the content graveyard.

FAQs

Do I need to buy lighting equipment?

Nope! Photography Within Reach™ is made to make photography accessible. You’ll learn how to use available light.

Will this help me if I also shoot with a camera?

Absolutely! Many people shoot with both cameras and phones. You can transfer images from your camera to your phone to use the same editing apps.

What if I need to do macro or close-up photography?

The quality of iPhone lenses has come so far, and they’re seriously impressive. Still, if you need legit macro photos of very tiny objects that need to be completely in focus, you may need to find a photographer who specializes in macro photography as they have the lenses and expertise for this. (The new macro on the iPhone can do a lot though!)

Is this course suitable for wedding photographers?

Heck yeah! Now, I wouldn’t recommend shooting a wedding only on a phone, BUT there are three massive benefits for photographers.

First, it’s the best way to grab from-the-hip behind-the-scenes shots for your social channels.

Second, editing turnaround is typically several weeks, but when you can edit a handful of sneak peeks on your phone to send your clients right away, that’s incomparable customer service. They’ll be over the moon to see something quickly and will appease some of those "just want to see if they’re ready yet" emails.

Third, when you’ve got the chops to create imaginative content, it’s another service you can add to pro packages!

Do I need an iPhone or can I use an Android?

You can use either! All of the lessons on photography, lighting, composition, smartphone dos, and don'ts, and all of the apps apply to both iPhone and Android.

The course is taught on an iPhone and Module 2 specifically covers iPhone features. There is currently no Android-specific training but aside from Module 2, all the lessons apply.

If you're comfortable with your Android features or looking them up on your own, you'll have a blast getting creative in the course. There are Android students so you won't be alone!

What if I have a crusty old iPhone?

It depends on how old and crusty! Here's the scoop on iPhone longevity: As long software updates are still supported, you're good to go and can take lovely photos, you just won't have all the same features and options.

Typically you can get 5-6 years max from an iPhone so right now, the 8 series are still solid phones until about September, based on current info. You'll get more relative mileage out of newer models.

Once you lose software update support on a device it's definitely time to look at an upgrade though because everything will start to go downhill at that point, not just taking photos. If your iPhone is an elder to the 8, it's time to upgrade.

I’m a marketer on that lean ‘n’ mean team; how can I get my boss to cover the cost?

I got you! If there’s one thing I learned from my days of having a boss with a budget, it’s that they’re relying on you to research everything from software to investments in continuing education. So, I made you this one-page, "Take it to Your Boss" pdf, to tell them what kind of ROI they’ll get by purchasing Photography Within Reach™ for their team. Grab it below:
